Delayed, adapted and adjusted in the light of the second school lockdown, this summer sees us resume our work as artists. During the spring term, while working from home, each year team learned about a non-Western artist working today and tackling some of the universal issues facing us all. Following amazing online workshops led by Georgie at the October Gallery in London, children have learned about the life of their key artist; their country of origin, culture and heritage, and have started to explore art making using similar materials, processes and techniques. This artmaking will continue over the coming half term as they deepen their understanding of what it means to be an artist, before turning their attention to making original art for an exhibition at the end of the summer term. We are all really excited about the coming weeks. Please follow our journey's by clicking on the links below.
