On Friday children, families and some very special guests gathered at St Barnabas Church to mark the centenary of the end of World War 1. We were joined by representatives of the Norfolk Armed Services Covenant board and project historian Neil Storey. We were also honoured to have Nick Humphrey with us. Nick is the great grandson of Ernest Carey Humphrey, one of ‘our lads’ listed on the roll of honour. He has been following our work via the project website and travelled over 100 miles to join us in remembrance. He was accompanied by his uncle. The short service involved contributions for Ed Land, Ms McConnell, Mr Hubery and Neil Storey. Year 6 delivered citiations for 9 men who were represented by 9 There But Not There silhouettes.
