Following an amazing day yesterday which saw our young scientists presenting their investigations to each other, we opened our doors to inspirational scientists (educators, entertainers, experts) and families for day 2 of our festival of science. Over the course of the day, children:
- took part in one of four Q&As where they got to put their science questions to a panel of experts from the world of science
- presented to families
- enjoyed two workshops with our visiting experts with options including a visit to the inflatable planetarium; science and story telling; virtual and augmented reality; Sphero coding; Mad Science; CEFAS, Anglian Water, Norfolk Wildlife Trust; Do Different with Dr Ken Farquhar, and carrying out amazing science experiments with GCSE science students from CNS High School
It was a truly inspirational festival where our children shone brightly! I’d like to end with a quotation from Alan Denton, STEM educator, who chaired our Q&As: ” I have always been a scientist because I have always asked questions and tried to answer them. That is the most important thing we can do as scientists and ALL of you are doing it. ” Enjoy the gallery.
