Today Nelson class started to turn their attention to their science projects in advance of next week when the projects start in earnest. They made notes on a definition of science and recorded a flowchart that explained where studying animals fits into the ‘big picture’. They then used a range of new and old technology (iPads and books from the library) to classify their chosen animal. This allowed them to draw on learning from earlier in the term and correct misunderstandings and misconceptions. They clearly loved finding out facts and securing their new knowledge. They worked beautifully and with real focus and enjoyed finding out new facts about their animal.
